Our team was recently asked to assist with a planned blanking operation on an overboard valve (OB valve) of a gas tanker in the Port of Antwerp.
The job began as a routine intervention to support the scheduled replacement of the valve.

During the operation, our team noticed unexpected damage to the connected pipeline. What started as a standard blanking task, quickly turned into a situation that required an immediate temporary repair to ensure the vessel’s safety.
Thanks to the quick thinking and teamwork, we were able to carry out an effective on‑site solution. This allowed the vessel to continue safely to dry dock without further complications or delays.

We are grateful that we could support the crew and technical teams involved, and we appreciate the trust placed in us during time‑sensitive situations.
Our team is proud to have contributed to the safe continuation of the vessel’s operations and to support our partners in the Port of Antwerp with reliable underwater assistance.
